I’m often asked, “What project are you most proud of?”
This personal Nike React Presto study is one of the projects I’m most proud of. What draws me to 3D footwear is the challenge of translating unique, complex designs into clean, believable models, and the Presto’s tooling was a perfect example.
Working primarily from images and my understanding of the shoe’s form, I focused on capturing the tooling’s depth changes, flowing curves, and soft edge transitions. It was a challenging build, but that’s exactly what made it enjoyable and valuable for my growth.
As my interest in 3D footwear design deepened, I started choosing projects that would push my skills and make me a better artist. This project did exactly that.
These are the references I used to model the Nike React Presto.
